Bosch has announced the release of software version 3.8 for its diagnostic scan tools ADS 325 and ADS 625 in North America.
The company explains that in order to provide the best comprehensive diagnostic coverage to aftermarket technicians through its ADS tools, the latest update contains additional coverage, including codes, live data and special functions, among other things.
New coverage is available for a wide range of domestic, European and Asian manufacturers and vehicles up to 2019 model year with version 3.8. For certain manufacturers, Bosch has also added ADAS dynamic camera calibrations in addition to pre and post scan coverage for various models
Bosch has added several new features to the latest software version of the software for earlier and current model vehicles:
- DTCS and Live Data for 2019 model year GM, Hyundai and Kia vehicles, as well as 2018 model year Audi, BMW/Mini, Mercedes Benz and more
- ADAS dynamic type forward-facing camera calibrations for 2019 model years GM and select Kia models, as well as for 2018 model year BMW/Mini, and GM vehicles
- Special Tests for 2018-2019 model year GM, Smart, and Volkswagen, among others
Bosch has also incorporated ADS scan tool functionality within the updated version. For Hyundai and Kia, 91 new parameters for OBD-II Mode 6. Also included in the update is new diagnostic information, such as DTC Circuit Descriptions and DTC Possible Causes for 2018 model year Jeep, Ford, Chrysler and GM vehicles.
