On February 21, the Canadian International AutoShow (CIAS) and Trillium Automobile Dealers Association (TADA) played host to the first ever WomenDriven event.

The brainchild of current CIAS President and President of Mississauga Toyota, Susan Gubasta, TADA Events Planner, Diana Alexandra Conte, Automotive Consultant Miranda Pyatte and Mississauga Toyota Marketing Manager Justina Wilson, the event was an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women in Canada’s automotive industry and also showcase the opportunity and career paths available to them.

With over 350 attendees, the event represented the perfect networking opportunity for women within the industry to network with their peers as well as rub shoulders with people outside the sector as well.

The highlight of course was the on-site fashion show, complete with a runway, where automotive industry professionals both female and male volunteered their time to wear some of the latest designer clothing courtesy of event sponsors. Emceed by well-renowned automotive journalist and broadcaster Petrina Gentile, the fashion show was a huge hit with the audience. Canadian Auto Journal was in attendance and brings you some highlights of this unique event, including images of the inspiring automotive professionals who took time out to volunteer for the fashion show.
