The 111th Chicago Auto Show has opened its doors to the public and will be held from February 9th through to February 18th at the McCormick Place.
Close to 1,000 new models are being showcased, including the 20 vehicles unveiled to the media prior to the event. A number of exotic and futuristic concept cars are also on display and visitors can take test drives.
Among the vehicles presented, notable entries are the 2020 Qashqai and 2020 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek, both of which will be selling on the Canadian market in 2019. The Pathfinder SUV is perfect for off-road trekking and will be available for a base price of $41,589 in dealerships this spring. The manufacturer states that all versions have a minimum towing capacity of 6,000 lb.
As for the Qashqai—it will be on sale this coming October and will now come standard with Nissan’s ProPILOT and Safety Shield 360 driver assist systems, as well as an improved audio system featuring Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
Toyota, for its part, unveiled the 7-seat Sequoia TDR Pro, which will also be sold in Canada. The manufacturer claims that the vehicle has a loading capacity of 120.1 cubic feet with the second- and third-row seats folded down.
Volkswagen announced that it will be marketing the Arteon in North America. The sedan, which will replace the Volkswagen CC, features a 2.0L turbocharged 268 HP 4-cylinder engine coupled to an automatic 8-speed all-wheel drive transmission.
